A busy weekend of gigs for Thom Stone. Come and see him at:

Secret Garden Party – 2pm on Friday at the Living Room Tent
The Stag, Hampstead – 7:30pm sharp on Sunday 26th, and then down to Kentish Town for…
The Flowerpot - 9pm, also on Sunday 26th. This got an NME recommendation. I don’t know whether that will make you more or less likely to attend, but it is free entry - and a beautiful new venue.

I anticipate mayhem getting between two gigs on Sunday evening. But there we are.

Thom Stone’s new two-part EP, Hearts & Bones, is out today on iTunes, Napster, 7digital and other digital providers. Recorded over the course of one very drunken/hung-over weekend, and complemented by full string arrangements, Hearts & Bones is a melancholic, atmospheric (verging on alcoholic) record.

Thom Stone’s new two-part EP, Hearts & Bones, is out on Airbag Recordings on May 25th.

To celebrate, Thom will be playing a special acoustic show at Soho Arts, a members-only bar on Frith Street, Soho. It’s a bit like a prohibition-era speakeasy, with cocktails in teapots and table service. Plus, cocktails are £3.50 before 9pm.

Support comes from Ealing troubadour Kevin Tuffy, and mental folk twosome Why Whiskey Why?, with Chess Club DJs.

Thom Stone on Channel 4 tonight

Thom Stone’s single She Knows will be soundtracking the second series of The Inbetweeners. You can hear it tonight at 10pm on Channel 4. The series is up for a Bafta…so…invitations in the post, yeah?

Also, there will be some changes to the store over the next couple of weeks, in preparation for the launch of Thom’s two-part digital-only EP, Hearts & Bones. They will be available here exclusively for a week, before appearing on iTunes the following week. The package you download here will include high resolution artwork and some extra goodies, along with the EPs in high-quality MP3 format. And, of course, there will be no DRM – so you can play them on any computer or MP3 player once you have downloaded them. More news on that soon…

Thom Stone to soundtrack new series of The Inbetweeners

Our very own Thom Stone will be gracing the soundtrack to Channel 4’s award-winning comedy The Inbetweeners, for the second year running. She Knows will be used for the second series of the show, airing in summer.

A great record up for pre-order this week:

Misconstructed Beats, the debut EP from A Stranger In Moscow. They are currently on tour, so check out their Myspace; if they are playing within a 50 mile radius of you then you really, really should go and see them. It sounds great and looks amazing; it will be available in special cardboard gatefold CD packaging.

Also, the first Singles Club release is coming along nicely. Finally, apologies to those who have been trying to get hold of Airbag releases on iTunes this week; we are in the middle of changing digital distributors, so all our releases are down for a little while. They will be back soon, but you will also be able to find them on about nine billion other digital providers. Which is good news.
